Jakarta Provincial Government remains improving the implementation of car free day. One of the improvement plans is arranging street vendor. It is aimed to avoid disturbing the citizens activity.

Head Division of Operational and Law Enforcement, Budhi Novian, said agreement between related units is needed to provide trading area.

City to Add Car Free Day AreaAccording to him, street vendor monitoring has been applied. In fact, the monitoring remains not maximal due to many road intersections.
Jakarta Head Dept. of Transportation, Andri Yansyah, added one of traders that must be supervised is grilled meat. This activity will surely add the air pollution. It is not appropriate with the car free day initiate mission.
“We do not prohibit the traders, but only arrange them better,” he stated.
